"Romanian – Ukrainian cross-border cooperation, reality and European perspectives"

The project aimed to develop the cross-border cooperation between Suceava County from Romania and Cernauti oblast from Ukraine, valorize the socio – cultural patrimony specific to each country and raise awareness of the necessity to preserve the natural resources -a condition for sustainable development of the 2 regions.

Results:
- 1 strong cross border partnership created between the organizations which initiated the project;
- 16 Romanians and 16 Ukrainians, members of NGOs improved their competencies in writing projects and project management field, they participated to intercultural exchanges, exchanged experience and good practices during the "School for projects";
• 1 training session about writing and implementing projects (4 days x 8 hours/day)
• 1- day- visit at the main tourist attractions of the local areas from Suceava and Cernauti
- 14 Romanians and 14 Ukrainians participated at the event "European Bat Night" consisting in an informative seminar and workshops in nature, the participants improved their knowledge and developed a positive attitude in the domain of preserving the biodiversity (bat protection);
-1 new Ukrainian partner was identified within the project implementation, interested to develop future projects with the Speleological Foundation, involved in accomplishing the project event «European Bat Night»;
- 1 work agenda containing further common actions of the NGOs involved in the project, was elaborated on the occasion of the "round table" from Ukraine;
- 60 people developed human relationships- a necessary communication framework to initiate further collaborations.
